A quarter-by-quarter playbook for filling your room. What to post, when to advertise, and how to outwork the venue down the street — by season.

Most hospitality social calendars run on instinct — chefs post when they remember, owners boost when they’re anxious. The venues that grow fastest run a seasonal plan. Below is the calendar we run for every client, broken down by quarter. Steal it, adapt it, and put the campaigns on your calendar before you forget.

March — May

Spring

01Spring

Patio season is back.

Spring is the easiest seasonal window to win — guests have been inside for months and they’re ready to be outside. The venues that move fastest in late March own April and May.

  • Pre-book Mother’s Day six weeks out

Start your Mother’s Day ad spend in early April. The booking decision happens 4–6 weeks ahead, not the week before. Run a brunch carousel + reservation link, retarget anyone who tapped through.

  • First patio post = open table

Launch your outdoor seating campaign the day temps hit 60°F. Don’t wait for the official opening date — bookings spike the moment the city feels warm. Shoot one sunny patio reel, post it, boost it.

  • Seasonal menu drop = three reels minimum

One hero shot reel, one chef close-up, one plating-in-motion. Three pieces of content keep the menu visible for two weeks instead of two days.

02Summer

Long days, late nights.

Summer is the easiest season to fill seats but the hardest to differentiate — everyone’s posting frozen drinks. Win by being more specific and more targeted than your block.

  • Sunset content is the unfair advantage

The window from 7:30 to 8:30 PM in June and July is your highest-converting content opportunity of the year. Golden light, full room, drinks in hand. Shoot it weekly, post it daily.

  • Geo-target the tourist radius

Run Meta ads to a 5–15 mile radius of your venue with travel-intent interests stacked on top. Tourists book 3–5 days out, locals book same-day — separate campaigns, separate creative.

  • Frozen drink reels = peak saves

7-second vertical, audible pour, hook in the first frame. Frozen drink content has the highest save-to-view ratio of any food category June–August. Post one a week, every week.

Fall

03Fall

Cozy is the conversion.

Fall is when guests start thinking about routine again — Sunday dinners, date nights, holiday parties. Your content should signal warmth, comfort, and tradition without being literal about it.

  • Open holiday party bookings October 1

Private dining and buyout inquiries spike the first week of October. If your calendar isn’t open and your form isn’t live, those bookings go to the venue two doors down. Update your site by Sept 25.

  • September wants candle aesthetics

Warm filters, candle close-ups, comfort foods, fireplace shots. The first cool weekend in your city triggers a city-wide content reset — own it with one well-lit night-mode reel.

  • Football packages = weekday filler

Sunday and Monday Night Football packages with food + drink bundles fill your two slowest nights. Run them on Meta and TikTok, geo-target the team’s metro, swap creative every two weeks.

04Winter

Quiet rooms need paid noise.

After New Year’s, organic reach drops and so does foot traffic. Winter is where paid campaigns earn their keep — the venues that keep advertising in January own February.

  • Valentine’s ad spend starts January 20

Couples decide where to go 2–3 weeks ahead. If you start running ads February 1, you’re already late. Run a “book early, secure the night” campaign starting January 20.

  • Dry January menu is a gift

Mocktail content earns the highest mid-January saves of any category. Build a 5-item zero-proof menu, shoot it like cocktails, run a “sober-curious” campaign through January 31.

  • Quiet Tuesdays need offers, not posts

In January and February, organic posts won’t fill a room — only a paid offer will. Build a weeknight bundle (apps + cocktail, prix fixe, etc.), advertise the offer not the venue.

December — February
